POLYZYME- LT

(Cold Process Desizing Enzyme. )

POLYZYME - LT consists of stabilized thermostable alpha amylase prepared by deep tank fermentation of Bacillus spp. It can be used for removal of starch based sizes from fabric, garments and other cotton made articles. Ideal also for desizing of the cotton-synthetic blends. Materials sized with starch derivatives or the starch blends with PVA or other chemicals can also be effectively desized with POLYZYME - LT.

SALIENT FEATURES
1) Ensures complete desizing of the treated materials.
2) Performs at room temperature i.e.30 – 35oC
3) Completely miscible with water.
4) Compatible with most auxiliaries.
5) Non corrosive, non-toxic, non-flamable, eco-friendly product.

SPECIFICATIONS
1) Form: Liquid
2) Colour: Amber – brown
3) Odour: Characteristic fermentation product odour.
4) Specific gravity: 1.05 (+/- 10%).

APPLICATION NOTES
Process temperature : 30 - 350C
Ph : 6.5
Dose : 5 - 8 gm POLYZYME – HT per kg fabric weight.
Liquor Ratio : 1: 10
Batch Time : 30 to 60 minutes.

Caution: Avoid contact with ferric ions. Chelating agents may be used if Ferric ions are present. While using POLYZYME - LT for garments & other articles, adjust temperature, add other auxiliaries, and adjust pH. Add POLYZYME - LT at the end. Run the batch for desired time. Inactivate the enzyme by heating the bath to over 1000C for 10 minutes.

PROTOCOL
1) Prepare desizing bath with tap water (MLR 1:10 approx).
2) Adjust the temperature to 30 - 350C.
3) Adjust the pH to 6.5 with POLYSTAT - 65X
4) Add Non-ionic surfactant @ 5 ml for 10 liter bath liquor.
5) Add 50 gm common salt and 0.5 gm Calcium Chloride for 10 liter bath liquor (or per kg fabric weight)
6) Mix the components well before adding POLYZYME LT.
7) Add POLYZYME – LT @ 5 kg of fabric weight & mix well.
8) Transfer the fabric to be processed.
9) Process the fabric for 30 – 60 minutes.
10) Drain the bath.
11) Rinse with water.
12) Heat to 950C (after adding 1 to 3 % caustic - optional).
13) Rinse with fresh water.
14) Dry the materials.
